Adult Education

The Adult Education Program provides career readiness and workforce preparation opportunities for adults seeking to improve their employment and educational outcomes. The program equips students with the foundational academic, digital literacy, and workplace skills necessary to enter employment, advance in their current careers, and transition into post-secondary education or technical training programs.

Adult Education offers career pathways, employment skills training, digital literacy instruction, and preparation for industry-recognized assessments such as the ACT WorkKeys and BAT tests, as well as the GED. Students may also participate in co-enrollment opportunities with select technical programs to strengthen career and workforce advancement opportunities while completing their educational goals.

The program serves adults who wish to earn their GED or high school diploma while simultaneously building the career readiness skills needed for today’s workforce. Classes are offered during the day, evening, and online at various locations throughout Dallas County, Lowndes County, Perry County, Sumter County, Hale County, Greene County, and Marengo County. Students must attend orientation.
